Toke Makinwa, a well-known media personality, claimed that she completed all of her goals at the Climate Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

News recollects that many people questioned Toke Makinwa’s role at the summit following her inclusion in Nigeria’s 1411-man COP-28 delegation, causing a stir.

In an interview for the most recent episode of her podcast, TokeMoments, Makinwa said that she began to take the criticism seriously after receiving calls from “important people.”

“How was your attendance at the COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai?” actress Ini Edo questioned her during her visit on the program. Have you listened in on the panel discussions?

Makinwa answered, “Yes.” With it [COP28], I achieved everything I set out to do. I was taken aback by the commotion. I also believe that the reason I saw the outcry on social media when I woke up was because Dubai is three hours [ahead of Nigeria].

“It became more serious for me when I started receiving calls from influential people.” And that seemed funny to me. It was funny that when I walked into this Dubia hotel full of influential people, they had all seen the backlash and were calling me “item seven.”

She said her backlash was one of the top trends of COP28.
