Toyin Lawani, a celebrity designer, has apologized for her involvement in the contentious reality series Real Housewives of Lagos.

She described her participation in the show as a “joke” and said she is still in disbelief.

Lawani posted the following on her X (previously Twitter) account: “[I] Can’t believe I was part of a joke.” #Kof #kingofallQueens #Rholagos

According to News, the reality show Real Housewives of Lagos became contentious when some of the stars in season 2 accused Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo of “bullying.”

Ojo defended herself by saying that the show was scripted in a statement that was just made public on her Instagram page. She said that although she had chosen to play the “villain,” her co-stars were giving the impression that the show was based on “real life.”
