On Wednesday, Solomon Dalung, a former minister of sports, claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has been taken over by cabals within the presidency.

As a minister in the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, Dalung claimed that some of Tinubu’s presidential appointees are involved in the cabals’ activities, working for private interests.

During his Channels Television speech on Wednesday, Dalung counseled Tinubu to stay away from cabals within his administration.

Dalung says the President should only appoint people he knows and who share his vision.

“The cabal is possible and avoidable,” stated Dalung. The Chief of Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, National Security Adviser, and Minister of Justice are among the first important positions to fill. The only way to avoid this cabal is to be able to bring in individuals who share your vision and are familiar with the positions.

The cabals in question are more active than they are, and although they do not hold strategic positions, the Chief of Staff is either SA or PA.

These are the individuals who leak government-secret memos, keep tabs on everything the President does, and connect it to the authority held by private parties.
