Through movies, we can rebuild Nigeria’s integrity – Ali Nuhu

Actor and Nigerian Film Corporation director Ali Nuhu has said that high-caliber Nigerian filmmaking can contribute to the nation’s regaining its integrity.

In his most recent interview with BBC Hausa, the actor stated that only 35 percent of Nigerian films currently adhere to the intended level of quality, whereas the target should be between 70 and 75 percent.

“You would notice that only 30-35 percent of the films produced in Nigeria’s film industry meet desired quality, compared to 70-75 percent,” the speaker stated.

Thus, I’ll concentrate on this by making sure we have better education and access to high-quality equipment.

“We want to make this industry among the best in the world, but we don’t need quantity—quality is more important than quantity.”

“We will restore our integrity through these films, as some bad apples in the industry have given Nigeria a bad reputation,” he continued.
