American singer Lizzo has clarified that her recent statement “I quit” was not in reference to music.

Reports emerged that the four-time Grammy winner expressed frustration over being bullied for clout and declared she was “quitting.”

However, the 35-year-old has now clarified that she meant she was quitting giving negative energy attention.

In a video message shared on her social media page, Lizzo stated, “When I say I quit, I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention… What I’m not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music.”
