Singer Duncan Mighty Reveals His Past as an Ex-Militant

Nigerian singer Duncan Mighty has opened up about his involvement in the Niger Delta crisis, sharing that he was deeply immersed in the region’s challenges. He recounted how God saved him multiple times during his time in militancy. In a recent interview with 3Music in Accra, Ghana, Duncan Mighty stated, “I was involved in the Niger Delta crisis. God has saved my life severally. I am a Port Harcourt boy, not from Lagos. I come from the South South, from the war zone before the amnesty.” He elaborated on his community activities aimed at protecting people and oil interests but acknowledged that his fame overshadowed his past as a militant. Additionally, he revealed his beginnings as a drummer in a church before transitioning to secular music, mentioning his role as the first drummer for Christ Embassy in Port Harcourt.
