Hooded shooters, on Wednesday, killed the Overseer of Money to the Ogun Express lead representative’s office, Taiwo Oyekanmi.

Day to day POST accumulated that the bookkeeper was waylaid and shot dead on the famous Kuto Scaffold in Abeokuta, under three kilometers from a bank where he had removed an enormous amount of cash for government use.

The unknown amount was also taken away by the gunmen.

Sources from the government office hinted our correspondent that Oyekanmi was gruesomely killed a few days after he celebrated his birthday.

The sources further told DAILY POST that Oyekanmi was rushed to the state hospital, in Ijaye area of Abeokuta, where he breathed his last.

It was further gathered that the news of his demise has been broken to his family and the Secretary to the State government (SSG), Tokunbo Talabi, as at the time of filing this report, was with the family of the deceased paying his condolence.

When reached, representative of the Ogun State Police Order, Omolola Odutola, affirmed the occurrence however demanded that no one kicked the bucket at the scene.

However, when the chief of police, Abiodun Alamutu, was called, he affirmed the episode and furthermore conceded that Oyekanmi was killed.

The police supervisor said, “This evening, the bookkeeper, the Overseer of Money, with the driver and another individual left for a bank to make some withdrawal.
