Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy from the duo P-Square, has countered Eedris Abdulkareem’s assertions regarding an alleged assault by 50 Cent and his entourage on Nigerian artists, including P-Square, at a 2004 concert held at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

Abdulkareem claimed in a recent podcast interview that 50 Cent’s crew physically confronted and expelled Nigerian artists, including P-Square, from the backstage area during the concert, asserting that he stood his ground as the only artist who refused to yield to intimidation.

Responding during a recent Instagram live session with his fans, Rudeboy clarified that P-Square did not participate in the mentioned concert due to disagreements over booking fees with the organizers. He accused Abdulkareem of accepting inadequate compensation from the organizers after initially agreeing to perform for more substantial fees, suggesting that Abdulkareem’s actions undermined the interests of Nigerian artists.

Rudeboy emphasized, “P-Square did not attend the [50 Cent] concert. We had another engagement. We were never scheduled to perform. The issue stemmed from the organizers offering insufficient compensation, which we declined. Eedris Abdulkareem accepted the meager offer and expected preferential treatment. The altercation with 50 Cent’s crew did not involve us. Show respect for yourself. P-Square was never on the bill for that concert.” He further emphasized the support of other artists, such as Daddy Showkey and Tony Tetuila, in discrediting Abdulkareem’s claims, labeling him as dishonest.
