Chukwudi Okorie, 51, and Chibuzor Okorie, 43, who are husband and wife, as well as 38-year-old Esther Gabriel, have all been taken into custody by police officers from Utako Police Divisional Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in connection with a string of robberies, specifically one chance activity within the FCT and its environs.

According to a statement made public by the commission’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects admitted during questioning that they had engaged in a number of one-chance-related activities in the Federal Capital Territory prior to their arrest.

"An operational vehicle used by the syndicate to carry out their heinous acts, a blue Mazda car with registration number FCT 590 EV, was recovered from one of the suspects," Adeh stated.

The spokeswoman continued, “The Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, wishes to reiterate his unwavering commitment to ensuring FCT remain a safe and peaceful place for residents to stay without fair from any quarter of the Territory,” even though the investigation to find other accomplices is still ongoing.
