Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, is a Nigerian singer who has been confirmed to participate in this year’s BRIT Awards, the most prestigious music awards ceremony in the United Kingdom.

On Thursday morning, the organizers made the announcement on their social media pages.

“Remain composed; @heisrema will be performing at the 2024 #BRITs.”

“Let’s gooooooo,” via X, the Brit Awards wrote.

Rema will make history by being the second Nigerian performer at the Brit Awards. In 2018, Burna Boy gave a performance at the ceremony.

reports that Rema’s “Calm Down” was nominated in the highly coveted International Song of the Year category at the 2024 Brit Awards, while Burna Boy and Asake were nominated in the star-studded International Artist of the Year category.

The award ceremony is slated for March 2, 2023, in London.

No Nigerian has won a Brit Award yet.
