In the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, Pastor Clinton John of the Mega World Healing Ministry has been taken into custody by the police on charges of defiling a sixteen-year-old girl.

The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, made a statement and claimed that John had unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl since 2022, when she was just 14 years old. She went on to say that Odutola claimed the victim informed the police that the 43-year-old Pastor had threatened to murder her if she ever told anyone about the shady relationship. A family in Giwa Agbado, Ogun State, has reported an alleged defilement case to the Agbado divisional Police Station. The family’s 16-year-old daughter has been treated for recurrent infections on multiple occasions, and she has shown frightening behaviors that have led the parents to suspect that she may have had sex with someone while hiding their identity.

The parents successfully convinced their daughter, who subsequently admitted that since November 2022, a forty-three-year-old pastor named Clinton John “m” of Mega World Healing Ministry has been illicitly having carnal knowledge of her.

The 16-year-old daughter went on to say that she was threatened with death by the pastor if she told anyone about the cagey affair.

During questioning, the suspect acknowledged and confessed to the crime.
