Lagos residents nab cleric with human skull

The Adamo neighborhood of Ikorodu has received praise from the Lagos State Police Command for their successful capture of Babalola, a suspect who was purportedly in possession of a human skull.

According to information obtained by Sunday Special, the locals gave the police the suspect, who is reportedly an imam in the area.

According to reports, he was taken into custody with a number of unidentified people.

The man was surrounded by neighbors and Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps officers in a 29-second video that our correspondent was able to obtain from one of the residents on Saturday. The man was dressed in traditional clothing.

While he was bleeding from one eye, he was observed placing a human skull and other possible human parts in a polythene bag.

Although there were still many unanswered questions regarding the incident, state police command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin promised the locals that justice would be served in a post on X on Saturday.

“We applaud the good people of Ikorodu for standing their ground and refusing to submit to the law of the jungle. “We’ll make sure that justice is served,” Hundeyin stated in response to a X user’s tweet regarding the incident, @DejiAdesogan.

Popular Chief Imam Babalola and four of his men were turned over to the police by residents of the Adamo area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, after they were allegedly found in possession of a human skull and other body parts, according to a late Friday post by @DejiAdesogan.

Additionally, a resident who went by the name Ayo informed our correspondent on Saturday that the man had been arrested on Thursday.

“In the Adamo area of Ikorodu, the Chief Imam Adamo Central Mosque (was) caught alongside others,” Ayo stated. They have been brought to the Araro, Adamo, anti-kidnapping and cultist police unit.
