Chief (Dr.) Jimoh Ibrahim, born on February 24, 1967, in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria, to Alhaji Yakubu and Omofemiwa Jimoh, hails from a family with seven wives and 40 children. His father worked as a bricklayer, while his mother was a local fish seller.

Jimoh Ibrahim’s educational journey began at Community Grammar School, Igbotako, and continued at the Federal School of Arts and Science, Ondo. He pursued a degree in International Law and a Masters in Public Administration at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. He furthered his education at Harvard University, earning a combined Master of Laws (LLM) and Master’s In International Taxation degree.

His diverse investments span sectors such as oil & gas distribution, hotels, resorts, airlines, banking, real estate, insurance, publishing, and investments.

Political Life

Jimoh Ibrahim is known for his controversial presence in both business and politics. He recently aligned himself with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to bolster the party’s spirits, although he did not declare his political ambition. The Ondo State wing of the PDP faced numerous crises after losing to the Labour Party, resulting in a decline in membership.

Jimoh Ibrahim previously served as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in the 2003 General Election. His shift to the PDP was attributed to the benefits he received from the party at both the Federal and State levels. He acquired the State-owned Owena Motels and was appointed Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), among other accomplishments, with the influence of the PDP.
