Michael Stuhlbarg, known for his role in “Boardwalk Empire,” was attacked by a homeless man wielding a rock on Sunday, March 31.

According to security sources cited by TMZ, Stuhlbarg was jogging in Manhattan around 7:45 PM when he felt an impact on the back of his head. Upon inspection, he found a rock nearby. Despite the surprise, he pursued the assailant until authorities arrived to handle the situation.

The alleged attacker, identified as 27-year-old Xavier Israel, was apprehended at the scene. A witness reported seeing him throw the rock at Stuhlbarg.

Xavier was taken into custody and charged with assault. Meanwhile, Stuhlbarg sustained pain and bruising to the back of his head but declined medical attention.
