Fireboy DML Declines Offers from Prominent Artists Prior to Joining Olamide’s Label

Nigerian artist, Adedamola Adefolahan, known as Fireboy DML, disclosed that he turned down multiple offers from established artists and music executives before joining rapper Olamide’s YBNL Nation in 2018.

Speaking in a recent interview with Billboard News in Los Angeles, the ‘Peru’ singer stated that he accepted Olamide’s offer because he believed it was the right choice.

He explained, “I declined offers from prominent artists who wanted to sign me. However, when Olamide approached me,

I knew it was the correct decision. This experience has greatly influenced my decision-making process.” Fireboy DML signed with YBNL Nation in 2018 and released his debut album, ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps,’ the following year.
