Controversial singer Eedris Abdulkareem claims he spearheaded the revolution responsible for the global recognition enjoyed by Nigerian artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido today.

Abdulkareem cites his 2004 clash with American rapper 50 Cent and his G-Unit members in Nigeria as the catalyst for challenging the poor treatment of Nigerian artists by show promoters.

Despite acknowledging that his rebellion impacted his own career, Abdulkareem sees it as a necessary sacrifice that paved the way for the success of current Nigerian artists.
