Reality TV star and actress Bamike Olawunmi, famously known as Bambam, has exposed the deceptive practice of ‘sex for roles’ in the Nigerian film industry, labeling it a “scam.”

She recounted instances where filmmakers exploited eager young actresses, promising significant roles in exchange for sexual favors but failing to deliver on their commitments.

Sharing her experience on the Secrets Behind the Scenes podcast, Bambam revealed how a producer offered her a cameo role and handed her keys to his hotel room.

She cautioned aspiring actresses against falling into this trap, emphasizing its lack of worth. Bambam highlighted that the compensation for such acts often amounted to as little as N50,000 or N100,000, urging others not to be misled by false promises.

She disclosed an incident where she received a mere N5,000 for a minor role and the filmmaker offered her his hotel room key, a situation she found appalling but chose not to name individuals involved.
