According to reports, Israeli-American actress Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, who is 21 years his junior, are divorcing after 11 years of marriage.

 

 

This follows the 42-year-old Black Swan actress’s apparent confirmation this week that her 11-year marriage to the 46-year-old choreographer was over in an interview with WSJ Magazine, in which she revealed that she and their two kids reside in Paris.

 

 

After flying solo at the Golden Globes and a few weeks later, when she was once again pictured without her wedding ring, she revealed this.

 

 

The actress is allegedly attempting to figure out how to handle a divorce for their kids, having taken some time to “process and heal.”

Although Natalie and Benjamin made an effort to make their relationship work, she was unable to forgive him for cheating on her, an insider exclusively told DailyMail.

 

 

“Divorce proceedings are underway, but no paperwork has been filed yet.” But they are no longer together; she lives in Paris and Benjamin stays in the US to work.

 

 

“They are determining what is best for their children because they are excellent parents and have a great deal of love for them.”

 

 

The insider continued, saying, “Those around Natalie know how strong of a woman she is and how dedicated to her causes, including women’s empowerment.” Natalie needed time to process and heal.

“No woman should have to tolerate a partner who cheats on her.” Because it is who she is, she has kept it private.

 

 

Last year, when the French publication Voici published an explosive report alleging he had an affair with 25-year-old climate activist Camille Étienne, allegations of infidelity rocked Natalie and Benjamin’s marriage.

 

 

At the time, People magazine said that Benjamin was “doing all he could” to persuade “Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together” and that his relationship with Camille was “short-lived.”

 

The publication was informed by a source that “he knows he made an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together.”

Being extremely private, Natalie has no plans to air this in public. Her top priority is keeping her kids’ privacy private.

 

 

However, an insider told Us Weekly in early August that the couple was divorcing because they were unable to mend their relationship in the wake of the shocking cheating allegations.

 

 

“They’ve been trying to work on their marriage but are currently on the outs,” the source said at the time, referring to the disclosure of his affair.
