Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the minister of interior, has refuted rumors that he is a signatory to the business implicated in the allegations of a contract related to the ministry of humanitarian affairs.

A company purportedly owned by Tunji-Ojo allegedly received N438 million in “consultancy fees” from Betta Edu, the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, according to an online report (not Vanguard).

In response to the accusation, he declared, “I am not a signatory to the company,” during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television.

Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo addresses contract claims connected to his former company and the ministry of humanitarian affairs, saying, “I am not a signatory to the company.”

One of the consultants chosen by the suspended minister to receive contracts totaling N3 billion for the National Social Register project was New Planet Project Limited.

For the purpose of cash transfers and other social investment initiatives, the social register was developed.

Recall that Edu made headlines when he requested that public monies be transferred to a private account held by Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola, who the minister had designated as a project manager. This request was made to Mrs. Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, the Accountant General of the Federation.

The minister gave his approval for the distribution of N585,198,500.00 into a private account.

Despite Kogi State’s lack of an airport, it authorized funding for her team’s airfare and airport transportation from Abuja to the latter.

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu ordered an investigation into the minister’s purported fraudulent activities and suspended Edu.
