The reason behind Davido’s purchase of a multi-million naira frog pendant from Ice Box has been disclosed by the Afrobeats musician David Adeleke.

The leader of 30 Billion Gang claimed in a recent interview with GQ that he created a frog pendant as a way to retaliate against online trolls.

He clarified that he chose to capitalize on the fact that trolls on Twitter (now X) were calling him “frog” due to his rough voice.

Davido remarked, “I made a frog pendant because they [trolls] were calling me frog on Twitter and my voice is hoarse. I thought, “You know what?” I’m going to use that sh*t to make a chain.
