The Interior Minister said that it is absurd for NIS to require married women to travel to Abuja in order to change their passport’s name.

Married women should not be forced to endure the ordeal of traveling to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) headquarters in Abuja in order to make a data change, according to Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

At a dinner in Abuja with representatives of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ABAT Media Center and a few social media influencers, Ojo posed the question of whether immigration officials in Abuja have multiple heads, in contrast to those working at the various passport offices throughout the Federation.
