American singer Lizzo has declared her retirement from the music industry.

The plus-size artist expressed exhaustion from enduring ridicule over her appearance, stating, “I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… I didn’t sign up for this sh*t… I quit.”

This announcement came through a detailed Instagram post. Alongside her four Grammy wins, the 35-year-old rapper and singer has also garnered a Billboard Music Award, a BET Award, and two Soul Train Music Awards.
