Mercy Eke, the winner of the ‘Pepper Dem’ season of Big Brother Naija in 2019, recently shared insights on why she didn’t clinch the victory in the all-star edition.

Despite finishing as the runner-up to 22-year-old Ilebaye in 2023, Eke explained in a Celebrity Quickies episode on comedian AY’s YouTube channel that she believes people were reluctant to see her win again, citing a perception that she was already successful and should give others a chance.
