We are in the game. Davido promises to persevere in spite of his Grammy loss

Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is nominated for a Grammy and has vowed to persevere despite not winning.

According to news reports, Tyla, the lone non-Nigerian nominee in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category, won the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday, beating out Davido and other Nigerian nominees.

The leader of DMW also failed to win his nominations for Best Global Music Performance and Best Global Music Album.

Many of his fans were incensed by his Grammy loss and accused the Grammy organizers of being complicit.

But speaking to his followers through X, Davido reaffirmed his love for them and gave them his word that he “will continue to deliver” and that he won’t give up.

He wrote, “I just want you to feel alright,” on his X handle.

“I adore every single one of you! We’re in the game! We’ll keep delivering.

I adore every single one of you! We’re in the game! We’ll keep delivering.
